I didn’t lose belly fat despite going to the gym. After struggling for months, I got to know about the exercise to lose belly fat

  • I have been working out with no results as i didn’t knew the exercises to lose belly fat but got my flat belly after doing the basic things correctly,
  • Doing strength training with the wrong diet kept me away from losing the fat.
  • Eating out fast food every other day was a wrong choice for me.

Going to the gym every morning with the single goal of reducing belly fat was the first step I took towards my health and it worked out well for me.

More than 180 days without a single inch of waist size reduction got me into depression.

Now when I wear my jeans the results are visible. I didn’t know that some basic changes can lead to drastic changes.

I get up and workout for an hour and that’s it i am done for the whole day, without any hard challenges or diets.

Going to the gym tempted me towards weight lifting. I started with heavy barbell training which led to soreness and fatigue. It felt so right because of sweating but still was not able to lose belly fat.

What causes belly fat?

 

Belly fat is caused by a poor diet, wrong lifestyle habits and hormonal factors.

Poor Diet involves high sugar intake, refined carbs and especially eating these foods in excess can lead to accumulated fat in the body , especially around the waist.

Lack of body movement increases the fat around the organs which is known as visceral fat.

Visceral fat is dangerous for health and can lead to heart attack. 

Leading a stressful life can increase cortisol in the body which can increase fat around the belly.

Learning these facts awakened me to get rid of fat belly.

What are the best belly fat burning exercises?

Exercising involves both aerobic and anaerobic exercises Fat in general is not used by the body as fuel, we need to exercise at a pace which burns fat for energy not the carbohydrates. To burn fat you need to maintain a heart rate at which you’re comfortable to do the exercise for a longer period of time, for example walking 4 miles for 60 mins instead of running 4 miles in 30 mins.

The best exercises to flatten stomach involve High intensity interval training, cardio workouts, strength training, core specific exercises and those involving full body movements.

High Intensity interval training includes jump squats, burpees, jumping lunges and more of which combining short bursts of intense activity with short rest periods

Cardio workouts involve jogging, cycling, jump rope and rowing machine at a lower pace for a longer time period.

Strength training like deadlifts, squats, kettlebell swings, dumbbell thrusters can help in building muscles and burn fat at the same time.

Core specific exercises like planks, russian twist, leg raises and bicycle crunches can strengthen your core, improve posture and help tone the midsection.

Full Body movement exercises like burpees, battle ropes, kettlebell swings, box jumps engage multiple muscles and burn a good amount of calories. 

I started doing brisk walks for 30 mins everyday before starting my weight training and I was more comfortable doing it as It was easier to sustain for the rest of the day. Check what you are doing wrong?

Can I lose belly fat by doing home workouts?

I started doing workouts at home to save my time. After I started seeing results I understood the process and tried it at home. Most of the workout does not require equipment or machines, doing jumping jacks or walking for 30 minutes was easier at home.

Together these exercises workout well and help me lose belly fat in 2 months. Consistently exercising and a good diet helped me lose fat. Understanding what to eat to lose belly fat can lead to a better life for me and my family.
